It
is my pleasure to introduce the world famous painting called Captivity Return. I call it “world
famous” because it’s the only painting in the world with a treasure code
embedded in it—and the treasure is worth 1 million dollars. I
created this painting to symbolize and emphasize artistic freedom.
What
inspired me to make this painting?
In 2012, my
art show Captivity was trashed during
the ArtPrize competition by the venue owner Greg Gilmore, who strongly believes
in censoring artistic freedom. He even admitted this on Channel 8 live TV. Not
only did I suffer a huge financial loss, but I also lost the opportunity to take
part in the competition. Later I was banned from ArtPrize for life.
Due to this
experience, my creative spirit gave birth to a large-scale painting called Captivity Return. The painting has an
embedded code to a treasure that includes cash and art collectibles worth 1
million dollars.
Historically, there are claims that certain paintings
contain a code, but none truly has a treasure code embedded. I am proud to
announce that the specific location of the treasure’s whereabouts—is found in my
painting itself.
Where can I see this painting?
This
exhibition is open to all, with the original painting housed in a gallery or
museum. Of course, not everyone will be able to visit the original, so a print
of the original will be available for all to see. The print—along with details
about the treasure and the painting’s history and content—can be found in my
book titled My Experiments with Art: An Artist’s
Memoir.
Where can I read more about this painting?
It is
important to know the history of the original show Captivity. The media has spread many false stories that might
derail you if you’re trying to find the code in the painting. Therefore, I have
added detailed information about the treasure, the painting, and the painting’s
contents in my book titled My Experiments
with Art: An Artist’s Memoir. This book also includes a print of the
painting.
Do I need to
buy the book to participate?
No, it’s not
compulsory. The book tells the true story of what happened in 2012 and after,
and this information will be useful in your quest to find the treasure. After
all, you need something to go by. A print of the painting is also in the book,
so if you buy the book, you needn’t buy the print unless you want to see it much
bigger.
